Hi! Thanks for viewing my profile. I view my work as a counselor not only as my occupation but also as my calling. I’m enthusiastic about what I do and truly enjoy people from all different walks of life. I am qualified to counsel children aged 8 and above, adolescents, and adults. My general approach to professional counseling is that I believe 4 basic ingredients are essential to a beneficial counseling process: hope, responsibility, kindness, and integrity. We must believe with HOPE that positive and lasting change is possible. We need to take RESPONSIBILITY for working hard to apply changes, even if we are hesitant at first. We must be KIND to ourselves, to each other, and to the larger community around us—-and kindness encompasses other attitudes such as empathy, truthfulness, and forgiveness. Finally, we must strive for INTEGRITY in all we do. This means that we’ll do what we say we’ll do and behave in ways that are congruent with our values.

In addition to my State License, I hold a specialty Credential as a Cognitive Behavior Therapist and am a Board Certified Professional Christian Counselor. I try to integrate various treatment options as needed to fit the particular needs and preferences of a given client or family. And as another unique specialty, I also offer a short-term Adult Forgiveness Group.

I am available to see you on a private-pay basis, or you might receive insurance reimbursement for my services. I am an approved credentialed provider with numerous insurance plans, including APS Healthcare, United Healthcare (UBH), Magellan Healthcare, Multiplan, and PHCS.
