On the west side of Albuquerque, I specialize in anxiety, depression, trauma, domestic violence and relationships. I believe that the most important aspect of therapy is the client’s relationship with the therapist – the client needs to trust the therapist and feel comfortable. My initial goal is to create an atmosphere of safety. Sometimes it is necessary to access guidance from a professional outside of the current situation in order to assist in gaining perspective.
I practice using a collaborative, strength based approach. Treatment focuses on increasing awareness about life patterns, building on strengths, and developing new coping strategies. My professional strengths include knowledge of a variety of presenting issues and treatment options, and an ability to connect easily with clients.
I have a strong background working with troubled teens, victims of domestic violence, and Native Americans. My clients feel that I am easy to talk to and genuinely attuned to their needs.
